At 21, Jill Milenski studied at the Paris American Academy. This summer, she returned to Europe to revisit her old haunts. Do you recognize these iconic images? Visiting Paris, Barcelona, and Bruges, Jill took time to pause and sketch the moments that she wanted to hold her her heart forever. With her oil pastels, Jill captures the spirit of our favorite European cities.
These evocative works of art make their debut at Gallery 202 78th Street Studios on July 21st for the Third Friday Art Walk.

Women In Conversation-Feb-Sept. 2020
Stocker Art Center-Lorain County Community College, Elyria, OH

An exhibition by Gail Crum, Jill Milenski and Gayle Pritchard
Women in Conversation is the natural outgrowth of long-time artist friends who share a love of process and materials. The unbroken threads of decades-long conversations about their lives, politics, women’s issues, art and techniques are woven into the work they present. This artist group of women are bound together by sharing secrets, and are comforted by the vulnerability and intimacy that arises from telling their stories in our conversations with each other and through our artwork.

Art Made in the Shutdown-July/August 2020
Worthington Yards, Cleveland Ohio

Claiming Our Space and Place-Article Gallery, Cleveland 2018

For two decades, three artists with a shared aesthetic have met together, grown and supported each other. Though the artists express themselves through media as diverse as painting, assemblage, collage and fiber, they share a passion for found objects, ephemera and color. In this timely and pertinent exhibition, their strong voices assert themselves in a visual array of beautiful and powerful work, often giving voice to issues of particular concern to women.
Images, objects from daily life, tactile materials, things discarded, old and forgotten: these artists connect the pieces to create something new. Personal histories, current events, celebrations of the beauty of place, the artists present their keen observations to the world as they stand up and stake their claims: I am here, I have a voice, and I have something to say.
